Iraq Common Seawater Supply Project (CSSP)

The CSSP is a critical infrastructure project undertaken by the Iraq Government and Ministry of Oil to provide injection water to the oil fields of Southern Iraq to enhance oil recovery.  Phase I of the CSSP involves the treatment and distribution of 5.2 million barrels of seawater per day for use as oil field injection water.  As Contracts Manager, responsible for managing the procurement and contract administration activities under a Program Management Contract with the client, our CJ&R partner’s responsibilities included:  preparation of all Invitation to Tender (ITT) Documents; drafting contract forms for inclusion in the ITT; prequalification of prospective tenderers; issuing ITT packages; preparation of tender evaluation reports including recommendations to client for Tender Award.  During project start up, our CJ&R partner was also responsible for preparing the Procurement Management Plan and the Contract Management Plan for inclusion in the CSSP Project Execution Plan.
